Hinges
Traces of three missing hinges on the right side (probably later).

Polychromy - Gilding
Traces of gilding and polychromy: gold (hair, along the hems, crown, candle-holders), red (inside the Virgin's veil, clouds), green or blue (lining of clothes; architectural details).

Reverse
Flat and smooth.

Object Condition
Three later holes along the left side.
Deep crack running from the upper border down to the left hand-side angel.
The holes for three hinges along the right side are too crude to be original (see how they infringe on the angel in the spandrel).

Collection of Hermann Jungk (b. 1834, d. 1902), a Bremen merchant: his bequest to the Museum in 1902.

Bibliography
Aus den Sammlungen des Gewerbe-Museums (Bremen, 1905).
