Side 1: two couples holding hands, dancing in a garden; female musician playing a portable organ; trees.
Side 2: Hunting scene; hunters, dogs, stag wearing a collar; hunter blowing a horn.

Randall 1985: North Italian (Lombardy or Piedmont), 1st third of the 15th century.

Polychromy - Gilding
Extensive traces of polychromy and gilding: red and green (trees), dots of red, blue and gilt on clothes and landscape, gilding in the hair. Pattern of wavy lines and dots along the borders of the comb (only brown underpainting surviving).

Reverse
Carved on both sides.

Collection of Prof. Robert Forrer, Strasbourg. Bought By Henry Walters from Léon Gruel in 1929; Walters Art Museum, 1931, by bequest.
