Label on the back with inscription: 'Given to me by a most sincere friend [...] Burchatt, Oct. 22, 1850, P. C. Maxwell, Grove, Richmond' and impressed with a wax seal.

Object Condition
Vertical cracks.

Burchatt collection: given to his friend, P. C. Maxwell, Grove, Richmond, on 22 October 1850 (see inscription on the back). Christie's, London, 3 April 1985, lot 55.
