Wing, left
Register 1: Crucifixion with the Virgin and saint John the Evangelist; Longinus with spear kneeling in prayer; Stephaton giving Christ vinegar.
Register 2: Pilate washing his hands. Flagellation; whips.
Register 3: Temptation of Judas; Judas receiving the reward; purse; man holding a pair of gloves.
Wing, right
Register 1: Deposition with the Virgin holding Christ's arm; Joseph of Arimathea holding Christ's body; saint John the Evangelist; man with pincers removing the nail from Christ's feet.
Register 2: Carrying of the Cross with the Virgin helping Christ; man holding a club; man holding a hammer.
Register 3: Betrayal (Taking of Christ; Kiss of Judas); soldier holding a lantern. Death of Judas (Judas hanging).

Hinges
Traces of three broken hinges.

Polychromy - Gilding
Traces of gilding and polychromy: gold (decorated background with dots, haloes, along the hems; hair and beards; moon and sun, etc.), green (tree; spear; lining of garments), red (hats; shoes; stockings; blood).
A crack at the back of the left wing has been decorated with painted foliage.

Reverse
Flat and smooth. Longer edges slightly chamfered.

Object Condition
A crack at the back of the left wing has been decorated with foliage.

Provenance
Collection of Alexander Petrovich Basilewski (b. 1829, d. 1899), Paris, from c. 1867; acquired by the Museum in 1885.
