Crucifixion; swooning Virgin supported by Holy Women; saint John the Evangelist and onlookers holding scrolls.
Border of dentils; incised trefoils.

Recessed to receive the wax, with a raised border.
Darker areas possibly left by three adhesive strips along the right side of the panel.
Object Condition
Each tablet has remains of a powdery white substance on its surface, both on the front and reverse.
Comments
This tablet originally belonged to the same set of writing tablets as Inv. K0052/2013, also in the Detmold collection. Both panels have been inserted into identical Baroque frames decorated with putti, cherubs, shells and stags. Each frame measures 210mm x 145mm.
