Hinges
Traces of two missing hinges (main panel).
Polychromy - Gilding
Traces of gilding and polychromy: gold (architectural details, hair, crowns, along the hems, candlesticks, star), red (lips), black (eyes), brown (background).
Reverse
The back of the larger panel is partly visible and has an incised Gothic letter 'M'.
Label with inscription: '89'. Blue and white label with inscription: '887'.
Object Condition
Cracks in the wooden frame.
Comments
Two ivory panels set in a 16th-century wooden architectural frame; inscription 'IAN V Delft A[nn]o 1562' and traces of polychromy and gilding on the frame (Jülich 2007).

Collection of Baron von Hüpsch (b. 1730, d. 1805), Cologne; acquired in 1805 by the Museum.
