Adoration of the Magi; brooch.
Wing, right
Crucifixion; swooning Virgin supported by Holy Women; saint John the Evangelist and onlookers holding scrolls.
Medallions containing quatrefoils enclosing protruding cones in the spandrels.

Museum's opinion 2013: France, 14th century.

Hinges
Traces of three missing hinges.

Reverse
Flat and smooth.

Object Condition
Both wings must have fallen and broke into several pieces which have been glued back together, but many fragments, especially in the background and the architecture, are missing from the left wing. Numerous chips.
Traces of damage by fire (?) on the back.

Provenance
Collection of Friedrich Georg Hermann Culemann (b. 1811, d. 1886), Hannover; acquired by the city of Hannover in 1887.
