Crucifixion; Virgin supported by one of the Holy Women; saint John the Evangelist and onlooker.
Incised trefoils.

Museum's opinion 2012: French, 14th century.

Reverse
Recessed to receive the wax, with a raised border. Covered with a thick fabric.

Object Condition
Two holes in the centre at the right side, possibly to attach the leaf to others with a string.
Worn.
Vertical cracks.

Provenance
Collection of Dr Peter Wings, Aachen; his bequest to the Museum in 1893.
