Wings
Standing angels holding candlesticks.
Centre panel
Crucifixion with the Virgin and saint John the Evangelist; Virgin crying; sun and moon.

Unknown

Hinges
Two hinges on either side.

Reverse
Flat and smooth. The back of the left wing has a raised band where it meets the right wing, so as to close over it like a door. Label with inscriptions on the back of the centre panel: 'Esc. 51', '1450'.

Provenance
Collection of Dr. Escallier; his bequest to the museum in 1857 (no. 51).
