Volute: saint Peter holding a key; bishop with mitre and crozier.
Shaft: cleric holding a staff or crozier.
Side 2
Volute: seated Virgin and Child; unidentified crowned saint (queen); unidentified saint.
Shaft: saint Mary Magdalene holding an ointment pot.
Volute ending in acanthus leaf.
Architectural framework; niches; pinnacles; openwork tracery.

Liebgott 1985 and Museum's opinion 2013: France or Italy, mid 14th century.

Carved on both sides.

Object Condition
Missing: part of the architectural framework on the shaft.

Provenance
Said to have been found in a box in the Odense Home for unmarried Ladies of Rank in 1885, then brought to the Nationalmuseet.
