Hinges
Traces of two missing hinges on the left side.

Polychromy - Gilding
Traces of polychromy and gilding: green (architecture), brown-red (wheel and hair), and gold (hair).

Reverse
Flat and smooth. Labels with inscriptions: '223' and '239'.

Object Condition
Central hole in the upper part of the panel.

Comments
The left wing was formerly in the Kofler-Truniger collection, Lucerne.
The two wings were separated sometime between 1896 and 1898.

Provenance
Collection of Frédéric Spitzer, Paris: sale, Chevallier and Mannheim, Paris, 17 April 1893, lot 130 (both wings together). Collection of Mrs. Hartmann, Paris (in 1896, both wings together). Carlo Micheli collection (d. 1895?), Paris: this wing sold with the rest of his collection in 1898 by his daughter, Marie Micheli, to Fritz Mayer van den Bergh (b. 1858, d. 1901), Antwerp; upon his death, his mother Henriëtte had a purpose-built museum erected (1901-1904) to house his collection.
