Wing, left
Adoration of the Magi; standing Virgin and Child; dove of the Holy Spirit with a scroll in its beak; Virgin holding a bird in her right hand; Christ holding a fruit in his left hand; magus taking off his crown.
Wing, right
Crucifixion, with jet of blood or spear pointing towards the Virgin's chest; swooning Virgin supported by Holy Women; saint John the Evangelist and onlooker holding a scroll; skull of Adam at the foot of the cross; sun and moon.
Brickwork or tiled roof; pinnacles; capitals decorated with animal heads (lion heads?).

Extensive traces of gilding: crowns, architectural details.

Object Condition
Broken around the hinges.

Provenance
Collection of Count Girolamo Possenti, Fabriano: sale, Florence, 1 April 1880, lot 30. Collection Albert Maignan (b. 1845, d. 1908); bequeathed by Maignan to the museum in 1908, but entered the collections in 1927.
