Curved and smooth. Ivory handle. Label with inscription: 'INS 37 SUNDRIES'.

Provenance
May have been loaned to 1901 Glasgow International Exhibition (possibly Glasgow International Exhibition Catalogue, 1901, p. 38, Gallery III, Case O:17 'Panel, ivory, carved with Madonna and Child, Flemish, 15th Century'). Probably an early (pre-1911) acquisition by Sir William Burrell; given to the City of Glasgow by Sir William Constance, Lady Burrell, in 1944.
