Polychromy - Gilding
Traces of polychromy and gilding: red (lining of saint John's cloak), gold (cloak, hair; beard; book; decoration along the hems).

Reverse
Slightly curved. Uneven with crosshatching and notches. Label with printed inscription: '174'.

Object Condition
Missing: scroll held by the onlooker beside saint John; nose and fingers of right hand of saint John.
Two holes in the upper part of the piece.

Provenance
Transferred in 1891 from the k.k. Münz- und Antikenkabinett.
