Incised inscription on the scroll in the Crucifixion scene: 'PF' (probably added later).
Provenance
In the collection of Lorenzo de‘ Medici (b. 1449, d. 1492) in Florence in the 15th century (entry in the 1492 inventory of the Medici Palace corresponds to this piece; see Schmidt 2008). Collection of Alexander Petrovich Basilewski in Paris (b. 1829, d. 1899)(not catalogued by Darcel), on deposit from 1860 to 1870 at the musée Saint-Jean, Angers; acquired by the Museum in 1885.
