Traces of two missing hinges on either side.

Polychromy - Gilding
Extensive traces of gilding and polychromy: gold (painted haloes); blue (Virgin's cloak); red (architectural framework).

Reverse
Flat and smooth. Some scratches.

Comments
This originally would have had two wings closing onto the centre panel.

Collection of M. A. Tollin: his sale, Paris, 21 May 1897, lot 125; collection of Charles Gillot (registered in his accounts on 22 May 1897), listed in the inventory made after his death, 11 April 1903. Christie's, Paris, 4-5 March 2008, lot 233.
