Carved in the round. Foliated decoration (interlace).
The letters S, P and possibly K in Lombardic script are carved across the back of the figure.

Provenance
Said to have been found in a bog in County Meath along with several others some time before 1817 and was acquired by the Royal Irish Academy as part of the collection of George Petrie in 1866. If other pieces were indeed found, they are otherwise unknown.
