Traces of two missing hinges on the left side.
Reverse
Flat and smooth. Engraved numbers: '35' and '36'. Round label with handwritten inscription by Bateman: 'Q.23. Side of a Diptych of the 14th century with the Coronation of the B. Virgin in the upper compartment and the Nativity with the Angels, shepherds &c in the lower, the whole beneath trefoil heaved [?] arcades. A fine specimen from Mr. Younge's collection Sheffield 1857, WB.'
