Height: 65mm

Nativity and Annunciation to the Shepherds; shepherd with a musical instrument (wind instrument).
Pointed trefoils in the spandrels.

Wallace and Ó Floinn 2002: 14th century.

Traces of two missing hinges on the right side. Firther holes indicating later hinges.

Object Condition
Later holes in the right border (in addition to the holes for the original hinges).

Provenance
Acquired in 1899 from J. and M. L. Tregaskis, Antiquarian Booksellers, The Caxton Head, 232 High Holborn, London, WC, through Mr. C. (?) P. Alabaster, 7 Thorny Hedge Road, Gunnersbury, London, and A.B. Skinner, South Kensington Museum (recommended price: 3 guineas).
