Register 1: Ascension; apostles including saint John the Evangelist.
Register 2: Adoration of the Magi; Virgin lying on a bed.
Border of dentils on all sides; pinnacles.

Hinges
Traces of two missing hinges on the right side.

Polychromy - Gilding
Traces of gilding and polychromy: gold (architectural details, crowns, gifts, dentils) and red (architectural details).

Reverse
Flat and smooth. Blue and white label with handwritten inscription: '5403.'

Object Condition
The panel has been cut in the middle into two pieces.
The miters of the hinges have been filled with ivory.

Comments
The right wing of this diptych is probably Christie's, London, 4 July 1995, lot 15 (in a private collection in London in 2015). See related items.
