Unidentified male saint dressed as a deacon, holding a book and a rope tied around the neck of a kneeling figure beside him (certainly saint Leonard with a kneeling prisoner); standing Virgin and Child; saint Christopher carrying Christ across the river; staff; blessing gesture.
Wing, right
Crucifixion; swooning Virgin supported by Holy Women; saint John the Evangelist and onlookers holding scrolls; rugged cross.
Pointed trefoils.

Comments
These panels once were enclosed in a boiled leather case which was lost in the 19th century (information from Prof. Carotti, recorded by Koechlin in 1924).

Provenance
Said to have come from the Charterhouse of Pavia. Campari collection, Lecco (Italy, in 1924).
