Pointed trefoils in the spandrels.

Traces of two missing hinges on right side (not original).
Reverse
Recessed to receive the wax, with a raised border. Blue and white label with inscription: '763'. Label with inscription '93' and '7' added in pencil.

Comments
According to Jülich, this panel 1as probably originally not part of a diptych but attached to a casket (Jülich 2007).
Provenance
Probably from the collection of Baron von Hüpsch (b. 1730, d. 1805), Cologne; acquired in 1805 by the Museum.
