Width: 114mm

Annunciation; dove of the Holy Spirit; vase of lilies; Virgin kneeling in prayer at a prie-Dieu; open book; ewer; bed; sceptre; cat on the lower shelf of a sideboard.
Pendants in the shape of fruits; columns.

Richter 2003: Netherlands or Rhineland, end of the 15th century.
Scholten 2004: Northern Netherlands, c. 1500.

Reverse
The handle which was originally set into a chamfered slot in the back has been lost. Dark stains.

Object Condition
Two holes over the capitals; an iron hook at the bottom.

Provenance
Collection of Giuseppe Baslini, art dealer, Milan: Baslini sale, Genolini Sambon, Milan, November 1888, lot 76, pl. IX. Collection of Professor A. Gilbert, Paris: sale, Drouot, Paris, 29-30 November, 1 December 1927, lot 82. Bought in 1963 on the art market.
