Crucifixion; Virgin and Holy Women; saint John the Evangelist and onlookers; rugged cross.
Pointed trefoils in the spandrels. Crosshatched background. Border of dentils.

Traces of polychromy: green (background).

Reverse
A piece of cardboard (possibly from a binding) has been pasted on the reverse. Label with ink inscription: 257. Cancelled red ink inscription: 523.

Object Condition
Vertical crack across the centre.

Provenance
Collection of Anton Josef Essingh (b. 1787, d. 1864), Cologne: his sale, Heberle, 18 September 1865, lot 886; acquired by the Kunstkammer in 1865.
