Courting couple (meeting of lovers); lady holding a lure for hawks; youth chucking his lover under the chin; youth with a hawk on his wrist; trees.
Corner terminals: four crouching monsters.

Museum's opinion 2011: France, c. 1300-1340.

Reverse
Back turned with a depression for (missing) mirror. Label recording provenance. Blue and white label with handwritten ink inscription: 'Top of mirror box love scene French 14th cent.'

Object Condition
Vertical crack across the left side. Drilled hole in the upper part of the piece.

Provenance
Collection of Alfred A. de Pass: his gift to the Museum in 1933.
