Carved in the round, but lower relief on the back.

Object Condition
Missing: Christ's head and left hand; right hand of the Virgin with flower (replaced).
Vertical cracks on the right side.

Provenance
Acquired in 1886 in Vienna by the Stieglitz Museum of Applied Arts; transferred to the Hermitage in 1926.
