Painted decoration
Side 1: standing lady; youth playing a string instrument.
Side 2: standing couple. Foliated decoration.
Reverse
Flat and smooth on both sides. Hair parter carved in the round.
Object Condition
The painted decoration is worn in some area.
Comments
The hair parter is 135mm long. Recorded in the Jankovich collection inverntory as the comb of Laura, Petrarch's love.
Provenance
Collection of Miklós Jankovich (1772-1846); transferred in 1836 to the the Hungarian National Museum; transferred to the Museum in 1877.
