Twelve apostles (left to right, top to bottom): saint Peter holding a key; saint Paul holding a sword; saint Andrew with a saltire cross; saint Judas with a spear; saint Jude (Thaddeus) with a halberd; saint Thomas with a square; saint Bartholomew with a flaying knife; saint Philip with a cross; saint John the Evangelist with the poisoned cup; saint Simon with a saw; saint James the Greater with a staff and satchel; saint James the Lesser with a fuller's club.

Provenance
Public art collection (pre 1870; probably acquired between 1862 and 1866) which became part of the Historisches Museum when it opened in 1892.
