Hinges
Probably originally traces of two hinges on the right side, but these have vanished when the panel broke.
Reverse
Flat and smooth. Traces of ink. Scoring in the lower part of the panel.
Object Condition
Central hole in the upper part of the panel.
Missing: right side of the panel, possibly including hinges.
Vertical crack in the lower right corner of the panel. Three small cracks in the upper border.
Provenance
Paris, Hotel Dassault, 18 May 2004 and Drouot, 26 May 2004, lot 353 (together with another fragment). Purchased from Finch & Co., London in 2007, thanks to a gift of Museum Associates.
