Hinges
Traces of two missing front hinges on the right side of leaf 1. Traces of two missing front hinges on the left side of leaf 2 and traces of two missing back hinges on the right side of leaf 2. Traces of two missing front hinges on the left side of leaf 3.
Reverse
Flat and smooth. Traces left by a metal frame on the reverse of each panel, especially the third one.
Object Condition
Central hole in the upper part of each panel. Traces left by a metal frame on the reverse of each panel, especially the third one.
Comments
The missing leaf, which should go between leaf 2 and leaf 3 depicting the Presentation in the Temple, the Flight into Egypt, the Flagellation and the Carrying of the Cross, was used in 1898 as central element of a composite 'pastiche altarpiece in the collection of consul Becher (Frankfurt am Main; Sammlung Karl Becher (Frankfurt am Main, 1898), no. 60). Its current location is unknown (see Kryzhanovskaya 2013).
