Blue and white label with handwritten inscription: ‘Collection L. Belmas. 61. Jesus presenté au Temple. Petit bas relief ivoire XVs’.
Object Condition
Some cracks. Traces of glue on the lower edge. Two holes in the upper part of the panel.
Missing: lower part of the panel (lower register). Trace of cutting on the lower edge.
Comments
This piece once was the upper register of a diptych wing which, judging from the placement of the hinge, would have originally been on two registers.
