Probably from a series featuring the Nine Worthies. Two other panels from this series once were in the Musée Antoine Lécuyer collection but are now lost (see L 280 and L 282).
Provenance
Maybe part of the bequest made by Félix and Josias Le Sérurier in 1883 (museum archives disappeared in 1917).
