Standing Virgin and Child; Christ seated on left arm; Christ in long robe; Christ holding a fruit in his left hand.

Museum's opinion 2011: 14th century or 19th century.

Reverse
Carved in the round.

Object Condition
Missing: head of Christ (replaced); right forearm of the Virgin.
The head of the Virgin seems to have broken away and been glued back into place.
Head of the Virgin chipped at the front; part of the crown broken; breaks in the drapery. Breakage in the lower part at the back.

Provenance
Bequest of Alice Baird, Geneva, 1926 (via Mr Baird and Mrs van Muyden-Baird, her heirs).
