Polychromy - Gilding
Extensive traces of gilding (hair) and polychromy: dark blue (lining of the Virgin's cloak), gold and blue patterns along the hems, red (lining of the veil; bench), green (outside of the veil; ground).
Reverse
Carved in the round.
Object Condition
Missing: head of Christ; right forearm of the Virgin. Circular hole in the top of the Virgin's head. Circular dowel-hole and crosshatching on the underside of the base for fixing the statuette to a separate base.
