Side 1: Saint Peter holding a book and the key.
Side 2: Saint Bartholomew with a flaying knife.
Side 3: Saint Paul holding a sword.
Side 4: Saint James the Greater with a pilgrim's staff.
Tracery; blind arches; pinnacles; rounded trefoils; pierced quatrefoils in the gables.

De Coo 1969: France, 1st third of the 14th century.
Museum's opinion 2012: France, 1st quarter of the 14th century.

This piece might have been a fragment of a crozier.

Provenance
Collection of Carlo Micheli (d. 1895?), Paris: sold with the rest of his collection in 1898 by his daughter, Marie Micheli, to Fritz Mayer van den Bergh (b. 1858, d. 1901), Antwerp; upon his death, his mother Henriëtte had a purpose-built museum erected (1901-1904) to house his collection.
