Crucifixion with thieves; saint Mary Magdalene embracing the foot of the cross; Virgin; saint John the Evangelist; crowd of onlookers and soldiers; two angels; horses; praying figures; architecture.
Pinnacles; foliated decoration; twisted columns.

Smooth with rounded edges.

Object Condition
The object is constructed out of several pieces (pinnacles and upper edge of the centre part).
Worn. Hole on the underside and ink inscription: '2755'. Underside smooth and flat.

Comments
The museum notes that the ivory may be heavily restored in the 19th century or entirely 19th century.

Provenance
Collection of Antoine Vivenel (b. 1799, d. 1862), Paris (from the 2nd quarter of the 19th century); made into a museum in 1841; given to the town of Compiègne in 1843.
