Reverse
The handle which was originally set into a chamfered slot in the back has been lost.
Blue and white oval label.
Object Condition
Missing: upper right and left corners, centre part of the upper border. Pierced with two holes in the upper part, one of which probably caused the pax to break vertically in two pieces which have been glued back together. Nail in Christ's hip.
Provenance
Given in 1850 by Mr Roudaire to the Museum by the Museum which was founded in 1832 by the Société des Sciences de la Creuse.
