Standing veiled female saint holding a pyxis or censer (possibly saint Clare or saint Mary Magdalene); quatrefoil patterns on the pyxis or censer.

Reverse
Arched recess neatly carved on the reverse.

Object Condition
Numerous vertical cracks. A piece at the front of the drapery has become detached and was visibly glued back in place. Traces of glue also in the lower part of the statuette at the front. The lower part of the statuette at the back to the right also seems to have been partly repaired. Horizontal crack across the neck at the back.

Comments
Fixed with plaster to a modern base.

Collection of Vittorio Cini (b. 1885, d. 1977), Venice: on extended loan to the Galleria di Palazzo Cini a San Vio since 1989, courtesy of Yilda Cini Guglielmi di Vulci, second daughter of Vittorio Cini.
