Missing: shield probably originally bearing a coat of arms.
Large chip missing from the right lobe at the top of the stand. Chip in the base at the back.
Comments
The coat of arms may have been in metal or enamel. A second shield-shaped recess on the underside of the base seems to have been for a later use, perhaps for a seal.
