Saint Laurence holding a gridiron; standing Virgin and Child; saint John the Baptist holding the Lamb of God (Agnus Dei).
Pointed trefoils. Diapered background.

Leeuwenberg 1969: France (?), last quarter of the 18th century to 1st half of the 19th century.
Museum's opinion 2010: France (?), early 14th century or 19th century.

Master of the Agrafe Forgeries (Leeuwenberg 1969)

Not visible.

Object Condition
A few drilled holes, some are plugged with ivory.

Comments
Mounted with four pins to the lid of a sundial with a compass in 1578, by Hans Ducher/Tucher in Augusta (Augsburg). Inscription on the sundial: 'HANS DVCHER', and dated 1578.

Provenance
Possibly in Augsburg in the 16th century (?). Public art collection (pre 1870; mentioned in 1859 catalogue) which became part of the Historisches Museum when it opened in 1892.
