Wing 1
Baptism of Christ by saint John the Baptist; angel holding Christ's tunic.
Wing 2
Saint John the Baptist holding the Lamb of God (Agnus Dei); standing Virgin and Child; Christ touching with his right hand the Virgin's chin; saint Catherine of Alexandria with wheel and martyr's palm; crown.
Wing 3
Crucifixion; Virgin supported by Holy Women; saint John the Evangelist and onlookers with scrolls; rugged cross; book.
Wing 4
Unidentified tonsured male saint holding a book and crozier (possibly saint Stephen); saint James the Greater with pilgrim's hat, staff and satchel; satchel decorated with a scallop shell; unidentified bishop saint with mitre and crozier; blessing gesture.
Incised trefoils; crosshatched background.

Museum's opinion 2013: 1st half of the 19th-century, in a 14th-century style.

Three sets of two hinges.

Reverse
Flat and smooth. Black pen inscription on wing 3: 'KM. 1.'. Pencil inscription on wing 4: 'Gn 6'.

Collection of Friedrich Georg Hermann Culemann (b. 1811, d. 1886), Hannover; acquired by the city of Hannover in 1887.
