Traces of two missing hinges on the left side.

Polychromy - Gilding
No trace of polychromy, even after close analysis.

Reverse
Flat and smooth. Ink inscription: '2756'.

Object Condition
Pierced with a hole on the right for the missing clasp.

Provenance
Collection of Antoine Vivenel (b. 1799, d. 1862), Paris (from the 2nd quarter of the 19th century); made into a museum in 1841; given to the town of Compiègne in 1843.
