Flat and smooth. Engraved inscription heightened with ink, in Latin (right wing) and Italian (left wing): Back of right wing, seemingly erased first lines, '[...] spirit[...] Signatum est sup[er] nos lumen vultus tui domine.Dedisti leticiam in corde meo:Deus qui nobis signatis lumine vultus tui domine memoriale tuum ad instantiam [?] beate veronice sudario inpressam ymagine tuam relinquere voluisti tribire/tribue quesumus ut nunc inter'.Back of left wing:'vergene maria preghiamote che tu et [?] chonciede che chomo noi veramente crediamo chella sia tua genetrice chosi sia nostra aiutatrice appreso di te per quel ne [?] desimo xpo. Amen.Sancti de dio preghate per la nostra salute e per quella ai [or di] tutti ralegratevi el segnore e fate [...] iusti. Amen'.
