Part of the veil broke and was glued back into place.

Comments
This head appears to be modeled on the tomb effigy of Beatrice, Countess of Arundel, at Arundel (see C. A. Stothard, 'Thomas Fitz-Alan, Earl of Arundel and his Countess, Beatrice, from their monument in The Church at Arundel', in The Monumental Effigies of Great Britain (London, 1814)).
