Probably from a series featuring the Nine Worthies. Two other panels from this series once were in the Musée Antoine Lécuyer collection: L 280 (now lost) and L 281 (still in the collection).
Provenance
Maybe part of the bequest made by Félix and Josias Le Sérurier in 1883 (museum archives disappeared in 1917).
