Wing, left
Swooning Virgin supported by Holy Women; sword pointing towards the Virgin's chest; queen kneeling in donor position; cloth; head of God the Father.
Centre panel
Crucifixion; Longinus standing in prayer; Stephaton holding a bucket; angels holding Instruments of the Passion (nails; crown of thorns); soldiers throwing dice for Christ's seamless garment; rugged cross.
Wing, right
Saint John the Evangelist and onlookers holding scrolls; feet ascending a ladder.
Trefoils and pointed trefoils.

Vöge 1900: German, 14th century.
Volbach 1923: Germany, 2nd half of the 14th century.

Polychromy - Gilding
Traces of polychromy and gilding (Volbach 1923).

Object Condition
Almost completely destroyed: one fragment from the right wing and one from the left have survived.

Provenance
Nagler collection, Berlin; acquired by the Kunstkammer in 1835; undocumented after 7 April 1945; two fragments returned by the Soviet Union to the Museum in 1958.
