Polychromy - Gilding
Traces of polychromy: green (ground); traces of a darker colour in the cross-hatched background.
Reverse
Curved and smooth. Ivory handle with carved decoration.
Object Condition
Worn by handling; abrasions on the surface; damaged on the arch decoration.
Missing: foliated decoration at the top of the gable.Repaired with an iron rivet on the bottom edge (Jülich 2007).
The profile of the ogee arch has been reworked (Richter 2003).
