Smooth and slightly curved. Ink inscription: '443'.The handle which was originally set into a chamfered slot in the back has been lost.
Object Condition
Possibly trimmed later along the sides and top of the trefoil arch to fit into a frame (Randall 1993).

Bought from the Blumka Gallery, New York in 1950 (Gift of Dorothy Chatterton Malone in memory of her father Rev. Herbert I. Chatterton).
