Wing, left
Register 1: unidentified abbess holding a crozier; bird or dove of the Holy Spirit.
Register 2: unidentified female saint holding a martyr's palm and an open book (in bust).
Centre panel
Register 1: Circumcision; cage with doves brought as offerings.
Register 2: enthroned saint Peter as a pope, holding a key; curtain.
Wing, right
Register 1: saint Apollonia holding a martyr's palm; pincers; severed breasts.
Register 2: unidentified cleric holding a crozier and an open book (in bust).
Rounded trefoils in the spandrels.

Museum's opinion 2013: French (?), 19th century.


Attribution
Unknown

Hinges
Two hinges on either side.

Reverse
Flat and smooth. Some superficial cracks. Blue and white labels with inscriptions: '1334' and '32'.

Provenance
In the collection assembled by Alexandre Le Grand for the museum by 1888. Described in a pre-1888 handwritten inventory kept at the museum as: 'Un triptyque en ivoire: La Circoncision, XVe siècle.' (p. 7).
