Seated Virgin and Child; angel crowning the Virgin; Christ in long robe; Christ sitting in the Virgin's lap; Christ holding a scroll with carved inscription G.O.S.O.N.L.U.X.M.O.N.D.
Unidentified coat of arms with a crowned eagle with outspread wings and a tower; unidentified coat of arms (crowned eagle with outspread wings and a tower parted with arms with a bend); foliated decoration; blind arches and tracery in the spandrels.

Museum's opinion 2012: 1st half of the 16th century.

Side columns are broken, lower corners chipped.

Provenance
Acquired before 1853 by the Kunstsammlungen zu Weimar (mentioned in the inventory book: Verzeichnis der im Kunst-Cabinet auf Grossherzogl. Bibliothek befindlichen Gegenstände (1853), fol. 9, no. 31); the Kunstkabinett later merged with the Kunstsammlungen zu Weimar to form the Klassik Stiftung Weimar.
